Jacob at I.Point

Last week Jacob got to go to Inspiration Point Bible Camp for the third time and, as usual, loved every minute of it.  Jacob's good friend Noah went as well and they were able to be in the same cabin.  Good friends make everything more fun, don't you think?

Dan's birthday at Jewett Lake

We celebrated Danny's 8th birthday at my parent's place at Jewett Lake on Saturday - his actual birthday day.  I am usually running a little behind on parties for the boys, so this was really an accomplishment.  The guys had SO much fun.  They romped in the lake, had a water balloon fight, played frisbee golf, went tubing, roasted hot dogs, made smores, took rides on the "EZ Go" (while singing "EZ go rider, a song they made up...), had a watermelon seed spitting contest, opened presents, ate cake, and, all and all, just had a great time!

Glendalough

I had a spur of the moment idea to go camping at Glendalough State Park yesterday afternoon. So, after Jake and Sam's baseball game last night, we took off to camp. The weather was perfect and we had a great time.  The canoeing today was absolutely beautiful.  I cannot wait to go back again.

Is Sam just cute in this picture or what?!

This was the view from our campsite.  Gorgeous.  Peaceful.

Here is the "two man" tent T and his cousin Gabe tried to sleep in.  Too funny!  I think it might be the size to fit two toddlers, but definitely NOT two teenage boys.

Father's Day

We christened the deck today celebrating Father's Day with family.  Mom and Dad, Scott and Becky, Bert and Helen (Becky's parents) and Jeff and I - plus the kids - enjoyed a sunny lunch out on the deck.  It was great!

Summerfest Parade

Jake and Sam were in the parade this year - handing out invitations to Kids Sports Camp at Bethel church.  I think they enjoyed themselves.

Here is something you wouldn't find in the Rose Parade........ only in Fergus Falls.  (Nature's Call Septic Service, Inc.  :)  )
Also, don't forget those crazy Shriners!  Everybody was backing WAY away from the curb in order not to get run over!

It was a nice, mostly sunny day and it was great to be outside.

NEW DECK!

Jeff and I took on our first major building project - with a ton of help from my dad - and even quite a bit of contribution from our neighbor.  Here are the before, during and after pictures.

Friends...

It's so fun to have friends from out of town stop by for a visit.  Our friends Kurt and Julie from CA came over and it was really fun catching up.  Stop by any time, you guys!

Last Day of School

On the last day of school, they had an assembly.  Each child was given a certificate with the godly character trait that the teacher had noticed in the child throughout the year.  Jacob was given encouragement.  Samuel was given courage (courage to do what is right even when others are not).  Daniel was given diligence.  I think they all fit these guys!
