Dr. Vanderstein!!!  and Danny on Versed (does he look a little sleepy?)
                                   Trying to wake up......
                         Going back to sleep.........
Danny with his two nurses just before going back to his room.
                               Inspecting the IV........

                                  Going home!!!!!

Danny had outpatient surgery on the 24th at Shriner's hospital in Minneapolis.  Dr. Vanderstein injected Botox into the lining of D's bladder to try to paralyze it and prevent spasming and pressure on his kidneys.  We will know in about 7 to 10 days if it was effective.  Dan did so well and we know it was completely due to the prayers of many.  Thank you so much!

King Solomon

This past Tuesday Jake's class performed during chapel at Morning Son.  Jacob played the part of King Solomon.  He got to wear Mrs. Wisness' son's Snowball King crown and emerald robe to make him look the part.  It was great!  The kids in the class each chose a Bible character, researched the character, and wrote out what they were going to say as if in first person.  There was everyone from Pharaoh to Moses to Miriam to Ester to King Solomon (and many more). Jacob's cousin Kristina played the daughter of Jephthah.  (She's pictured above.)  I thought the whole program was so neat!  The kids were awesome.  You should have heard them sing the David and Goliath song.  It was different than the one I grew up with - and Goliath was acted out by Luke Baker - he was hilarious.  I am sooo thankful that my kids are at Morning Son.  They are learning some great stuff there.

Sam's Birthday.... in March

Sammy turned 9 on January 17th.  However, he just celebrated the day with a buddy of his at Andes Tower Hills.  Jeff, Jacob, Sammy and his buddy Reggie skied the night away (from 4-9pm) and had a really great time.  Sammy has been so patient waiting to be able to do something special in honor of his birthday.  He really hoped to be able to go skiing and it looks like we made it just in time.  Andes closes this Saturday.  I'm glad I decided to check the operating hours because otherwise we probably would have missed the chance.

It's Cool in the Furnace

Taylor was the lead in a musical at Hillcrest last Thursday and Friday called It's Cool in the Furnace.  The play was about Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego and the fiery furnace.  T played the part of King Nebuchadnezzar.  The entire junior high was in the play - it's a requirement for Bible class.  They all did such a great job.  It was really fun to watch Taylor - He really seems to enjoy acting.  Getting up in front of a bunch of people doesn't seem to bother him.  Here are a few pictures from the play.

Chloe's Surprise!

Today we were able to spend some time with one of our very favorite people from California.  Chloe!!  She is a God mother to Jacob (and also a spiritual mentor to me!).  Chloe and I surprised Jacob by showing up at Morning Son School and stealing him away to lunch at Arby's.  It was so much fun to see Jake's surprised face as he saw Chloe sitting in the car - he wouldn't expect to see her in Minnesota.  It was great.  We love Chloe so much and are so grateful for how she and her husband Gary faithfully pray for Jacob and our entire family.
As we dropped Jake off back at school, Sam was out at recess.  He was able to take a couple minutes to come over, say hi and smile for the camera.  I think Chloe liked Sam's Bronco hat! :)

Stop by any time Chloe!!!  We miss you!
